Hailing from Salisbury, England, Michael is known in the metal scene for his versatility, seamlessly shifting between styles. He's toured alongside extreme metal legends Cannibal Corpse, Septic Flesh and Behemoth, blended neoclassical and pop influences during his time in Gloryhammer, and merged all of these elements and more in his own project, Wizardthrone.

Influenced by guitar greats like Randy Rhoads, Paul Gilbert, and Alexi Laiho, as well as classical composers such as Chopin, Beethoven, and Bach, Michael brings a unique depth to his playing. His songwriting skills, technical ability and commanding stage presence have made him a sought-after session player and co-writer, recently working with UK death metal icons Ingested and pirate metal stars Alestorm in these positions respectively.
